As its coming into my favorite time of year… Autumn or as some of you know it as ”Fall”, I thought I would write a little post on Autumn hair trends and how to change up your hair for the season.
I always thought that Autumn was a great time to play around with different tones and hues. Let’s embrace the reds, oranges, browns and purples, just as the leaves do. So here are a few tips on how to change up your hair without taking any drastic measures, and a few of my favorite Autumn shades to give you some inspo for the season ahead..
Pumpkin Spice hair

Copper Balayage

Strawberry Blonde

Mahogony

Rich copper

1. Add some lowlights
Lowlights are basically the opposite to highlights and are a great way to darken the hair or add some tone without committing to a more permanent colour. I feel they add more depth and can sometimes have a richer glossier effect on the colour.

2. Darken your hair ”gradually”
I myself have noticed when the Autumn/Winter months hit us, I hear many people talk about dying their hair darker colours. I do agree that this time of year is a great time to play around with darker tones and colours but do so gradually and progressively. If you’re a blonde looking to go dark you probably won’t get the results you’re looking for in one sitting, whereas darkening gradually you will maintain the health and shine of your hair and not to mention the longevity of your colour.
Hope this gave ye a few ideas to get creative this Autumn,
